Parallel currency issue in New asset accounting

Hello,

 

 

While assigning chart of depreciation to company code I am facing following issue.

 

Parallel crcy area (crcy type 30) missing for area 01 ch. of deprec. SFIN

Message No. ACC_AA116

Diagnosis

For the leading valuation of the ledger approach and accounts approach and for parallel valuations of the ledger approach, the following is valid: The parallel currencies in the leading ledger in General Ledger Accounting and in the depreciation areas in Asset Accounting must be the same.

 

Procedure

If you have previously been using parallel currencies in General Ledger Accounting but you have not implemented the corresponding parallel currency areas in Asset Accounting for all depreciation areas, you must first implement these depreciation areas before you can install SAP Smart Financials. Contact your system specialist.

SAP S/4 HANA IDES version software

On behalf of all solution and technology consultants in India :-

In the past, SAP solution and technology consultants were owning IDES software and exploring available features.This helped the consultants to check and revert to clients questions pretty fast. Similarly, will S/4 HANA also will be made available? This will pose hurdle in exploring solution independently or have to depend on CAL cloud version where AWS cost will play spoil sport. Hope SAP Development team is hearing our questions.

FIORI Application Revenue : negative revenue

Hi,

 

We have problem with Fiori application Revenue.

 

As config documentation specify we have add cost element group in backend SAP named REVN and we have add revenue account in this cost element group. The cost element category of revenue account is 11.

 

The problem is that the app fiori revenue display negative amount.

 

Is it possible to change the sign of revenu in FIORI or in backend SAP but we want keep revenue account with cost element category 11 because we want revenue in COPA account based.

 

Have you others solutions ?

NWBC Bank Account Work flows not working properly

Thanks for info. Now I am able to start open and Account how ever. I am facing new issue where relating Work Flow even I am using predefined standard Template and Rules (Bank Accountant/Cash Manager/Key User are agents). Given below the details issue is not moving from Bank Accountant to Cash Manger and further the work items.

We are in the process of setting up workflow in Suite on HANA / Simple Finance and the workflow is not progressing after the step.

 

Please find the details of issue:

 

ISSUE: Bank Master Data creation having standard WF process there are three agents namely; BANK ACCOUNTANT /CASH MANAGER/KEY USER.

 

Step -1 Bank Accountant initiate Bank Master record Creation and triggers to Cash Manager for review and approve

 

Step-2 Cash Manager review from his Work item and review and approve/reject and same will be notify to Bank Accountant for next process.

( we are now getting struck in this stage, as per the standard workflow, sub workflow WS74300047 needs to be triggered but it is not happening as it is not able to determine the agents based on rule resolution 74300006 here)

 

Step-3   Bank Accountant collect few information from bank say Bank account number and IBAN and save and submit. This next trigger to key user for further process.

 

Step-4   Key User will be process Work Item updating GL Master/Signatories etc., to particular Bank Master and  Save and Activate which will close Work item.

 

Above we are using Standard Work template WS74300043 and Rules mentioned below

 

SAP predefines a Business Object Repository (BOR) object FCLM_CR for Bank Account Management. In this object, the workflow is being triggered with “CREATED” event below

 

The Rules defined / used:

 

74300006 FCLM_CASHMGR (2nd step)

74300007 FCLM_CASHOPER (1st and 3rd steps)

74300008 FCLM_CASHSYSCOLL

Central Finance - Master Data Replication

Hi Friends,

 

In a Central Finance scenario, can anyone highlight what is SAP's recommendation for master data replication from Source system to Target System.

 

Source System can be both SAP ERP and Non SAP ERP and target system is S4 HANA  on Premise 1511. The Volume of Master data is very high.

 

Client is not using MDG currently and we want to follow a non-disruptive approach for Central Finance..so not looking forward to any kind of change/development in the existing systems.

 

As far as SLT transformation and harmonization is concerned, I understand that, SLT is good for transaction data, but for master data it is a table level insert and not quite safe and hence not recommended.

 

Any pointers on this will be highly appreciated.

Liquidity forecast and cash position

Hi friends,

 

I'm trying to set cash position and liquidity forecast (FF7AN And FF7BN), after I applied note 2255996, in SAP Simple Finance, without success.

 

The settings performed are:

 

  1. Activation of cash management and forecast in company code (trx OT29)
  2. Definition of cash management accounts names (OT16)
  3. Definition of grouping structures (OT17)
  4. Range maintenance (OT20)
  5. Planning levels defined (OT12)
  6. Planning groups defined (OT13)

 

The tables FDSB for GL accounts, FDSR for customers and FDFIEP for vendors, aren't be filled after execute business transactions like purchase orders creation and so on.

 

In previous versions when this occurred, I execute the following programs:

 

  1. RFFDDL00 / Program for Deleting Cash Mgt Data from FI/MM/SD/TR
  2. RFFDKU00 / Transfer Open Item Accounts to Cash Management
  3. RFFUEB00 / Copy G/L Bank Account Balances to the Cash Position
  4. RFFDIS00 / Reorganization of Cash Management and Forecasting

 

When I run the last program (RFFDIS00) the system showed the message "Function is not available", like the attached picture.

 

Another way to fill the required data for the liquidity forecast, is executing FDFD transaction, but doesn't display data correction option, not like in older SAP versions (i.e. SAP ECC 6.0).

 

Somebody can use the liquidity forecast and cash position in S4Hana? Any help will be useful, thanks in advance.

OXK3 - Coding Block - Add fields to BSEG (Expert Mode)

Hello,

 

I added two customer fields in OXK3 - Coding block using Basic Mode. It added in CL_COBL, ACDOCA, CL_COBL_BI, FB50. FB01, FB60 etc structures, transaction and tables but it didnt added the customer fields in BSEG table.

Then I was looking to use Expert Mode in OXK3 to add customer fields but in Expert Mode - Add fields to BSEG is greyed out. I couldn't use Expert Mode for adding customer fields to BSEG. We need to have customer fields appended to BSEG also like other structures as it is required for SAP standard reporting as reporting data comes from BSEG.


Can anyone please help, why in Expert mode - Add fields to BSEG is greyed out? Or why in basis mode, new customer fields where not added in BSEG?

 

We are on Simple Finance, SAP suite on HANA.

How to get the sizing estimation for ERP on HANA with no simple finance implemented.

Hello experts,

 

 

Could anybody tell me how to make a rough estimation for ERP on HANA with no simple finance implemented?

I am in charge of the infrastructure part of a project I am on board, so-called SAP BASIS. The problem is there are no input fields in the QuickSizer for Controlling(CO). The sizing sheet from Financial Team for the estimation have already been filled out. Besides that, the clients on the project have decided not to implement the simple finance first. Therefore, I need to use the "non-simple finance" QuickSizer version, but for HANA version.

Revenue Accounting and Reporting

Hi everybody

 

I am in a project where we need to implement Deferred revenue when the invoice (in SD) is created and with another event ( performance obligation: boarding boat) recognice the revenue.

 

I am FI consultant and with another SD consultant we read about "ERP SD Revenue Recognition", but in the s4hana on premise 1511 that we're going to implement says that we have to use "SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting".

 

There is not much information about this, i have done the configuration but i can´t pass of this error:

 

Reserved condition types are not configured in Customizing

Message no. FARR_CONTRACT_DB033

 

Required field 'Fulfillment Type' of performance obligation $000000000000001 is empty

Message no. FARR_CONTRACT_MAIN000

 

Required field 'Event Type' of performance obligation $000000000000001 is empty

Message no. FARR_CONTRACT_MAIN000

 

I appreciate your support for these error; I have filled some desicion tables but i the error continues...

What version of S/4HANA Simple Finance without Simple Logistics (SLOG)

Hi,

 

 

i don't know if this is the right place for this question, but here goes:

 

 

we have a SAP ECC 6.07 on netweaver 7.4 system that runs on HANA.(So this is Business Suite power by HANA)

The customer wants the system be upgraded / updated to S/4HANA Simple Finance on the latest level ,but without Simple Logistics because of a current configuration with SRM.

 

As far as I see it , it is not possible to go to S/4HANA SFin 1503 SP03 (1511) without Simple Logistics , but it is not clear if this is really the case.

I read through several notes, guides and faqs but what I assume now is that simple logistics (it isn't called that anymore according to some notes) is part of S/4HANA Core and / or Enterprise Management. And with that when you implement Simple Finance you get Simple Logistics with it in version 1511.

But.... I don't know if that is correct.

 

 

So the options I see now for our system is the following:

 

Implement 1503- SP02 (1508) , which stays on netweaver 7.4.
You don't have Slog and you can implement Simple Finance 1503.

On the downside : We don't have the latest version , we don't have the 1511 apps (HANA and Fiori) which the customer wants to have.

 

 

 

Implement 1503 - SP03 (1511) , which needs netweaver 7.5.
You can implement the latest Sfin 1503(1511) version ,BUT you also get Slog ... So you have the latest version and the latest 1511 apps, but you also have Slog which makes the SRM config unworkable.

 

 

Both are not what the customer demands.

 

Can someone point us in the right direction on this matter.

 

(We already asked our national SAP office,but they can't seem to give us a clear answer.... so far as simple goes..)

IBPF --- BPF Task --- URL to access ERP data thru External Resource!

Dear All,

 

In IBPF, I understand that the master data at the ERP side can be accessed thru' HTTP URL. This can be created as a BPF task at BPC end(as an External Resource task).

 

Normally, we access the ERP data thru SAP GUI, outside BPC.

 

Within IBPF, What is this URL about? Does that mean that, at ERP side, web server component has to be installed? And, access to master data needs to be exposed thru' URL? I believe, authentication/authorization has to be managed at ERP side. Can some one pls. elaborate on the ERP data access

thru' URL part?

ACDOCA 23 digits for currencies

Hi,

 

We have observed that the length for currency fields (FI/CO/MM/SD or any other module) is 23 in universal Journal ACDOCA .The examples are KSL,VSL,HSL,TSL,OSL,CO_OSL etc.

 

However,BSEG has a limit of 13 digits with 2 decimal places for currencies (DMBTR,WRBTR,KZBTR,PSWBT) which implies that even if ACDOCA has a limit of 23 ,values will be restricted based on the limit set in BSEG table .We have also tested in our system that values for more than 13 digits do not get stored in BSEG and the same value gets stored in ACDOCA.

 

Can anybody suggest for the limit set for all the currency fields in ACDOCA ? or Is there any scenario where 23 digits in ACDOCA would benefit postings from any module ?


Forecasted amount in cash position details app

Hello All,

 

We have enabled cash position details app in SAP now if we check the "forecasted amount" its getting updated same as "actual amount", can you please guide me on the table from were "forecasted amount" is updated in cash position details report.

 

Further if I check bank account currency view "inflow" and "outflow" is blank from were the same would be updated, please suggest.

Hi all,

 

We have activated content for the 1511 (V1) on prem edition and I am working on the BPC Optimized For S/4HANA module (IBPF).

 

I'm looking through SAP's documentation for standard pre-delivered content and specifically looking at the Revenue Planning (BEA) building block.

 

The last piece of the process is to transfer the quantity and sales plan into SOP as mentioned here:

But I can't see any mechanisms to do this and it's not in the test script that SAP provides (http://support.sap.com/content/dam/SAAP/Sol_Pack/Library/TestScripts/BEA_S4HANAX_BPD_EN_DE.pdf), can someone please advise on this?

SAP IBPF 1511 (On Prem Edition) CO-PA Product Cost Planning Into IBPF

Hi all,

 

We have activated content for the 1511 (V1) on prem edition and I am working on the BPC Optimized For S/4HANA module (IBPF).

 

I'm looking through SAP's documentation for standard pre-delivered content and specifically looking at the Revenue Planning (BEA) building block.

 

It is mentioned in the test script ((http://support.sap.com/content/dam/SAAP/Sol_Pack/Library/TestScripts/BEA_S4HANAX_BPD_EN_DE.pdf)) that a part of the Revenue Planning process is bringing in the Product Cost (for price Planning).

But I can't see any mechanisms to do this or standard delivered Analysis For Office workbooks (queries) that would allow us to do this.

 

Part of the Price Planning we would like to do is taking historical costs by product and by customer to help plan out future prices by product and by customer as well.

 

Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks.

Regarding to the new installation of SAP ERP EHP7 INCL.SFINANCIALS 1503, what is the right HANA live product version for this?

 

Generate stack for ECC HANA Live package should be SAP HANA ANALY. ERP EHP7 or SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP which is mentioned in SAP Simple Finance Add-On 1.0 for SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA Administration Guide.

 

Generate stack for the finance add-on HANA Live package should be SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1503 or SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1.0.
